This Vine gives me life.

hobbies masterpost!

a really excellent way to reduce anxiety is to pick up a new hobby. find something you’re interested in, learn it, then use it as a healthy and productive way to cope.

This is 100% what everyone does in their room when they are alone, and this girl filmed it. Bravo.

this is my favorite video in all of human history

i want all the world to see this

how to be soft and gentle with yourself

  • turn out all the lights and watch the clouds pass over the moon
  • plan trips to faraway places that you may never end up taking
  • join postcrossing and start sending pieces of your soul across the world until you yourself can go
  • read every book of poetry you own; dog-ear pages, and copy out your favourite passages so that they bury themselves somewhere in your heart; constant reminders that everything has its beauty
  • paint a tiny forest somewhere, where your wall meets the floor or in the back of your diary or on in chalk on the pavement
  • stay in the bath with your favourite book until the water grows cold
  • leave everything but your keys at home and take a long walk. look for silence, and end up finding birdsong and the rustle of leaves and faraway laughter
  • open up a fresh page in your journal and draw or write about the things you love; the places that feel like home; the people you want to spend forever with
  • allow yourself to be vulnerable
  • allow yourself to cry
  • give your love to everything that comes into your life

I thought this would just be a simple article about meditation or relaxation which uses disappearance as a metaphor but it turns out this is the heaviest, realest wikihow of them all
